Patrice O’Keeffe joins Law Society Human Rights & Equality Committee

Patrice O’Keeffe, Partner in Healthcare and Medical Law at CKT has recently joined the Law Society Human Rights and Equality Committee.

The Law Society Human Rights Committee was established in November 2004, with the main purpose of raising awareness  of human rights issues under the European Convention on Human Rights Act 2003, the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and other national and international instruments.

Patrice has always held a keen interest in Human Rights and Equality. Commenting on joining the committee, Patrice said, “I am delighted to become a member of the Law Society Human Rights and Equality Committee. More than ever, the interplay between the role of the State and individual human rights is being challenged, debated and litigated.  It is an exciting time to join the Committee and I look forward to being an active member and helping to foster lasting change”.
