Our Charity Partner for 2021 – Edel House, Good Shepherd Cork

We are delighted to announce Edel House Cork as our Charity partner for 2021. Edel House was founded in Cork more than 40 years ago by Sr. Colette Hickey, a Good Shepherd Sister. Their mission is as follows, “Through trusting relationships, we support women and children who are vulnerable to homelessness to live more empowered, fulfilled and self-sufficient lives. We work with women, children and families to achieve our mission.” We are proud to be in a position to support their mission throughout 2021.

Edel House is funded by HSE, Tusla The Child and Family agency, Cork City Council and Cork Education and Training Board. Raising funds from companies and individuals is vital to their ability to be there for homeless women and children, or those at risk of homelessness.

Throughout the year, we will run events in support of Edel House.

CKT’s Corporate Social Responsibility team and employees selected Edel House from a number of other organisations. Speaking on behalf of the CSR committee, Sarah Kelleher, HR Manager said, “Each year we are delighted to take part in a number of fundraising activities in support of a charity chosen by our employees. With Covid19, this year we had to think differently about how we fundraise, and we look forward to partnering with Edel House for 2021”.
