On 28th October 2022, the Irish Law Awards were held at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. This is the 10th Year of the Irish Law Awards, and these awards aim to identify, honour, and publicise outstanding achievements, while also recognising those who have dedicated their lives to serving in the legal profession.

ADR Firm of the Year – Winner

CKT has a proven track record of finding innovative solutions through the use of ADR mechanisms such as mediation, conciliation and arbitration.  We are problem solvers, finding creative ways in which to resolve matters in a private and cost-effective manner for our clients. Our mediators are one of the most sought-after in the country for contentious disputes.

Speaking on behalf of the award win, Alison Kelleher, Partner in the Healthcare and Litigation Departments and current Chair of The Law Society’s ADR Committee said, “The team are absolutely delighted to receive this award. It is a lovely end of year boost and a testament to the skill of the team. We would like to thank our valued clients for their ongoing support and for trusting us in finding innovative solutions to their challenges.”

Karen Tobin – Munster Family Lawyer of the Year Award

Karen is a Partner at CKT with over 25 years’ experience with the firm and this is her second year in a row winning the Munster Family Lawyer of the Year Award.   Karen is a firm believer in finding solutions ‘outside of the courtroom’ and is known for her efficiency, thoroughness and personable manner.  Karen’s experience spans a wide range of family law matters including divorce, separation, surrogacy, custody and access disputes and maintenance and domestic violence disputes.

Speaking on the award win, Karen Tobin said, “I am overwhelmed to have received the award for the second year in a row. After over 25 years in the business, it is such an honour to receive this award again. Well done to all the award winners on the night.”

The Irish Law Awards, which take place each year, are judged by a panel of experts. Nominees are judged against a set criterion.  There are two rounds of online judging followed by judging panel meetings to determine finalists and the ultimate category winners.
