The Kinsale and District Lions Club had the pleasure of being selected to Host the 50th annual convention of District 133 – the all-Ireland governing body of 106 local Lions clubs last week 1st -3rd March 2019. Comyn Kelleher Tobin were delighted to be a key supporter of this prestigious event which saw more than 300 delegates and visitors to Kinsale, Cork. This International voluntary organisation has 2,200 members in Ireland all involved in serving their local communities.
The Kinsale Convention Team under the leadership of Eddie McCarthy and Hal McElroy and their colleagues put together a programme based on friendship and fun. This special 50th Convention brought together the officers of the Clubs and the Irish District Executive, who plan new projects, develop national programmes, train new officers from all Clubs and celebrate the good work which continues in the spirit of ‘Lionism’.
