A Career in Law – Supporting our Future Lawyers

At CKT, we are continually looking for ways to encourage young people to consider law as a career path. This week, Denise Kirwan, Partner in CKT’s Child and Family Law team, has jumped in to get involved with Foróige’s Virtual Work Experience week.

Foróige is the leading youth organisation in Ireland that has been working with young people since 1952.  Their purpose is to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their development and in the development of society.

Denise is a fully trained Foróige Leader and is speaking with Transition Year students today about her career path, how she got to where she is, and what she loves about her job.

It is hoped that this Virtual Work Experience week will give Transition Year students nationally the opportunity to explore a variety of potential career paths, and be a source of inspiration to young people. Foróige have gone to great efforts to provide a range of speakers from Weather Forecasters and Zookeepers to Accountants and Primary School Teachers. A focus area during the presentations will be on the skills that each mentor feels is necessary for the career that they are in.

We have no doubt that Denise will inspire some attendees to seek out a career in the legal world, albeit competing with a Zookeeper!
