Eamon Harrington

Eamon Harrington is Head of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department, with a particular focus on healthcare law, professional indemnity, regulatory matters and complex litigation.

He is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading defence litigators, acting on behalf of hospitals, healthcare professionals, public bodies, insurers and indemnity organisations in high-value and complex disputes. His practice encompasses catastrophic medical negligence claims, healthcare litigation, professional indemnity matters and commercial disputes.

Eamon is also an experienced Mediator, Arbitrator and Notary Public. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a CEDR Accredited Mediator, he has successfully mediated more than 300 disputes.

A recognised leader in dispute resolution and alternative dispute resolution, Eamon is a regular speaker at legal and industry conferences in Ireland and internationally. He is frequently consulted on strategic litigation, healthcare law and professional indemnity matters.

Eamon served as President of the Law Society of Ireland from 2024 to 2025. He is also a former President of the Southern Law Association and former Chair of the Law Society’s Finance Committee. During his career he has chaired the law Society’s Litigation Committee, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and Professional Indemnity Committee.
