Law Society Webinar – Effective Mediation in Ireland

On 22nd April 2021, Alison Kelleher, Chair of the Law Society’s ADR Committee and Partner at Comyn Kelleher Tobin (CKT) is speaking at the upcoming Law Society Webinar – “Effective Mediation in Ireland”. Solicitors from across the country will attend this event to hear more about emerging trends and developments in mediation.

This session will explore how mediation is evolving to meet Irish clients' changing needs (including during COVID) and will focus on emerging trends and developments, exploring what solicitors need to know so as to best serve their clients' interests.

Panel speakers include Liam Kennedy, Michael Peart, Helen Kilroy, William Aylmer and Lisa Broderick. 

The seminar which will provide 2 CPD points will consider whether the Mediation Act 2017 has achieved its aim and the scope for further reform. It will explore practical strategic issues – the optimum timing of mediation, the choice of mediator, overcoming obstacles to mediation and will highlight tools available (including the Law Society's mediation precedents) to help solicitors engage in or advise on mediation.
