What is CAPIG?

Cork Area Policy Implementation Group (CAPIG) is an organised, expert implementation support to frontline staff in the Cork Area child protection and welfare services and has representation from all relevant teams and key stakeholders.

Its primary function is to oversee and support the implementation of child protection and welfare policies into frontline social work practice. CAPIG also provides a forum for integrating the extensive knowledge and experience of frontline staff and local managers during policy development by also facilitating channels of communication with TUSLA’s national office.
